'Over the hill' at 40? 'Past your sell-by date'? Birthday cards are often the first place we see casual ageism disguised as humour. But what happens when you ask primary school children and their older neighbours to investigate these stereotypes together? Join Magic Me Associate Artists Sue Mayo and Skye Baker with Creative Director Kate Hodson, to hear more about 'It's on the Cards'. This intergenerational arts project - currently showcased at London's Wellcome Collection 'Coming of Age' Exhibition - used birthday cards as a catalyst for intergenerational discussion and to imagine a new way forward.
