Are you looking to develop your creative practice in a stimulating environment of collaborative, artistic and intellectual enquiry? The MA/MFA Creative Practice: Dance Professional is led by Trinity Laban and delivered in partnership with Independent Dance and Siobhan Davies Studios, giving you the opportunity to work with three leading dance organisations to develop your artistic practice. We will support you to: - Reflect on your professional experience and its role in your ongoing learning - Engage in intensive studio-based research with significant artists and a skilled peer group - Deepen your own practice as performers/makers - Develop your understanding of a range of research methodologies within the arts to pursue your own area of artistic interest - Become part of a growing international community of artists The programme works with an expanded notion of dance in dialogue with wide artistic and cultural contexts. Whilst embedded in the principles of somatic movement foregrounding relational, felt-sense enquiries, it embraces a diversity of forms and approaches. Guest artists of international renown lead practical and discursive sessions and seminars. Peer learning and support is integral, with students bringing and exchanging a breadth of experience and expertise. The programme promotes a fluid and generative exchange between theory and practice, in the belief that knowledge emerges through dance and movement practice itself.
