Event Summary

New participatory live art programme from Applied Live Art Studio (ALAS) runs Wednesday 29 July – Sunday 2 August 2026 at 1B Window Gallery, Coppermill Lane, E17. Each day, a different artist or collective will activate the space asking through art: “What does our collective future look like?"

Event Description

PROGRAMME Wednesday 29 July, 4-8pm - Future Visa Centre Artist Dongting Huang (DongDong) presents a fictional immigration office imagining a future where migration is no longer limited to movement between countries, but becomes a process of entering new forms of experience, perception and possibility. Thursday 30 July, 4-8pm - The Space Council: Complaints Department Artist/clown Zelda Solomon hosts a post-apocalyptic HR office addressing the public's off-world grievances - from denied Mars housing extensions to asteroid-proof cladding - in a playful drop-in surgery. Friday 31 July, 4-8pm - Colour-Poetic Futures Colour facilitator Cath Carver (Colour Carver / COLOURWORXX) invites visitors to play a new Living Colour Imagination Game, choosing Pantone palettes designing the colour future places they're dreaming into being, followed by a Typewriter Poetry Future Exchange with poet Mikayla Elias. Saturday 1 August, 12-4pm - Ecology Loom Artist L.J. Furner leads a communal weaving installation, inviting visitors to write, draw or weave their visions for the future onto a shared loom, alongside botanical cyanotype printmaking. Followed by In-P055ibl3 Mach1n3 from 4pm-8pm. Sunday 2 August, 12-6pm - In-P055ibl3 Mach1n3 ALAS founder R.M. S nchez-Camus leads the closing day, inviting participants to help build, piece by piece, the impossible machine that carried humanity into a regenerative future by the year 2100 - closing the programme with a collective ritual. Followed by Closing Ritual 6-8pm
