The course runs Tuesdays 2.30pm - 4.30pm at Swarthmore Education Centre, Leeds, LS1 3AB
It is completely FREE and is made possible by funding from Leeds City Council.

Over the 10 weeks we will cover a range of topics beginning right from choosing a name, through to branding, building a website, social media, registering with HMRC, approaching galleries and stockists, pricing work plus much more.

We move at a pace that suits you and will spend enough time on each topic to ensure everyone has a full understanding.

The course is designed to help you overcome any barriers which you may be facing, this could include things such as not having a clear direction, not knowing where your work fits in the arts market, not knowing how to find opportunities etc.

You do not need to have a clear business idea to attend the course - people are at all stages of their journey and might just be wanting to find out what is involved in setting up a business and for this to be more of a long-term goal.

The course is led by Flo Hoy who has been Director of a number of craft and arts organisations and more recently has been Marketing Lead for Swarthmore.
Flo also has her own small business Florence Makes.
