Bring your own materials to begin with (we also have some basic supplies you can use, if you are new to hand embroidery to get started. Feel free to get in touch to discuss your project in advance of booking)

Remember, this is the place where Londoners stop and stitch together anything that inspires each stitcher!

New Participants: Bella will offer an introductory activity where you can select and needlework a mini stitch 'sampler' - Inspired by the natural greenery foliages, plants and flowers around us. Learn how to ' hoop up', thread the needle, how to get started and finish your embroidery in a professional and smart way. Bring a 6 inch embroidery hoop and embroidery needles, if you don't have we have a selection in the shop of kits, fabrics, threads, needles, hoops. Also bring ideas or a project to develop in the next session.

Returning Participants: Learn more embroidery stitches on your existing 'sampler' from your first session and / or get advice and work on your own personal embroidery project. Bring all the materials you may need for the session.

When: Monthly, dates currently available: Thursday 3rd September, 15th October & 10th December, 6 - 9pm (join one or attend regularly!)

Price: £25.00 per session + Eventbrite booking fee if booking online

Group Size: no more than 12 participants.

About the tutor: Bella Lane is a master embroiderer and artist, specialising in hand embroidery from the pre-Columbian cultures of Latin America and from other global traditions. She trained at the Royal School of Needlework (RSN) in London, graduating in 2009 with distinction. She received awards from the RSN and private institutions in the City of London. With over two decades experience, Bella undertakes private commissions, the restoration and conservation of historical textiles, museum teaching, and the exhibition of her work, continuously refining her expertise in textile and embroidery arts.
