Event Description
Now in our 49th year, Centrespace Open Studios returns!
For one weekend only, come and explore the historic building on Leonard Lane in the heart of Bristol's Old City, meet the artists, designers, craftspeople and makers who call it home.
With 31 studio holders working across three floors, visitors can discover a diverse range of creative practices including jewellery, upholstery, ceramics, illustration, printmaking, sculpture, painting and much more.
Offering a rare chance to step inside working studios, learn about artists' processes, and purchase original artwork and handmade pieces directly from the makers.
This year, Centrespace Studios has welcomed four new studio members; Anny Hsieh, Sam Morrison, Morgan Tipping, and Clare Redwood working across multiple creative disciplines. Alongside new beginnings, the studio commemorates long-standing member John Wright, who sadly passed away in March 2026. The John Wright Modelmaking Workshop was an integral part of Centrespace for more than 35 years and was widely recognised for its long association with Aardman, including creating the titular prop for the much-loved Wallace & Gromit film The Wrong Trousers.
