Over two online days, 'Writing Worlds' brings together:

The conference is a wonderful opportunity to hear from inspiring speakers, share your research and practice and gain insights to help your professional development, as well as enjoy networking with fellow writers from across the UK and further afield.
The Writing Worlds 2026 programme features over 70 presentations, workshops and panels exploring our theme of 'Writing Worlds' from every perspective. New this year is the opportunity to take part in important debates: two Big Conversations with invited panels to discuss AI: the Human Element and Why Writing Matters. This year's keynote speakers are Professor Julia Bell, Birkbeck, University of London (Friday) and Burhan S nmez, President, International PEN (Saturday).
All sessions are recorded and available to watch on demand after the conference.
