Acts of Magic brings nine contemporary artists together in Chalk Farm, London, UK this October.

Bringing together nine contemporary fine artists, the exhibition explores transformation, memory, colour and meaning through painting, drawing and visual storytelling. Across a diverse range of practices, the artists investigate how ordinary experiences, inner doubt and emotional complexity can be transformed into images and forms that invite wonder.

Acts of Magic takes its title from the exhibition's central idea: that the artist acts as a modern alchemist, transmuting the everyday into something luminous and unexpected. Line, colour and memory become materials for creating new meanings, offering audiences a space for reflection, discovery and imaginative escape.

Art and its observation is an act of alchemy: We look for artists who can take the raw materials of being human - memory, desire, doubt, intimacy, absurdity, loss, beauty and the everyday, and transform them into something that makes us see differently.
