Event Description

Finding The Artist's Way is a twelve week, in-person, group course for FLINTA* artists and creatives, teaching Julia Cameron's transformative 'The Artist's Way' in full.

Find tools for removing long-held and short-term creative blocks and negative beliefs, sharpen confidence and clarity in your creative output, and nourish a community of female (all sexualities - allies welcome), nonbinary, and trans artists and creatives as peers, supporters, and future collaborators.

The course is guided by a trans-masc, queer, disabled, musician, and writer-led, with a background in visual art.

£360 for 12 weeks. Pay in 4 instalments via the website.

Each weekly session lasts two hours total, with co-working in the cafe afterwards very welcome. Sessions include a reading of the chapter, group discussion, guided, written exercises, and the opportunity to share about your progress and experience. Optional work at home is also available between sessions.

Finding The Artist's Way is suitable for artists and creatives of all disciplines, including but not limited to; visual art, music, performance, writing, dance, fashion, design, film, photography, making, crafts, drag, creative business management, marketing, and all other creative and artistic fields.

You do not have to currently be working in a creative field as your core profession. Industry professionals who are not technically creating work are also very welcome. If you feel drawn to the course, please apply.

Finding The Artist's Way: Leyton edition will run Tuesday mornings, weekly 10am-12pm, at Soul Bowl, Leyton. Starts next week, 15th September.

The venue is fully wheelchair accessible, with a wheelchair accessible toilet. There are baby-changing facilities on site, and there is a quiet room for reflection if needed.

Carers and PAs are welcome to attend for free. Please email [email protected] once booked.
