Event Summary

Join the We Are Creative (WAC) Hull & East Riding Coaching Programme.

Event Description

Are you an artist based in Hull or the East Riding of Yorkshire? Would you value dedicated time to reflect on your practice, set meaningful goals, and explore challenges with the support of a professional coach?

WAC is launching a new coaching programme to help local artists grow, build confidence and move their creative practice forward. The programme is funded by Hull City Council Arts Development, East Riding of Yorkshire Council Arts, and Hull & East Yorkshire Creative.

We are looking to shortlist 8 artists. Each participant will receive a series of one to one coaching sessions. This is not a mentoring programme and is intended to take place online or by phone. You'll be matched with a coach based on your needs and the type of support you're looking for, whether you want to be challenged, encouraged, listened to, or championed by your coach.

The programme also includes an online welcome and a closing session to help us induct you and gain valuable feedback for our future programmes. We ask that you commit to attend both of these sessions.

Your application should include the following:
- What you hope to gain from the coaching sessions.
- Any specific issue, challenge or goals that you'd like to work on.
- Any previous experience with coaching (if applicable).
- The kind of coach you feel would suit you best.

We are looking for practising artists living in Hull or the East Riding of Yorkshire. Applicants must be available for all sessions. Due to different funding timelines, the East Riding coaching sessions will finish in late February 2027, and the Hull coaching sessions will finish in late June 2027.
