Event Summary

Join us, in collaboration with the ADC Theatre, for this free artist development workshop with Rachel Denning, Actor & Facilitator, and Associate Artist at National Youth Theatre, exploring how imposter syndrome can impact creative practice.

Event Description

Rachel has worked in Television, Film, Theatre, Radio and Education for 20 years. As a disabled actor she has experienced Imposture Syndrome throughout her training and professional work and would love to share these experiences and thoughts with others.

Whether it's feeling that we're not experienced enough, or that we don't have the "look", skills or background, or "type", imposter syndrome can have a huge impact on how we approach creative work and the opportunities we take. Through practical exercises, discussion, drama and playful exploration, the workshop will offer a supportive space to explore the challenges of finding your voice, stepping into professional creative spaces, taking risks and believing that you have something valuable to offer.
