Event Summary
Event Description
Flowing from the Fells presents selected works from the Lakeland Arts collection to explore the rivers and streams that make up the landscape of the region, as well as our connections to them and local stories rooted in them.
The exhibition will bring modern and classic works into dialogue. With the support of the Contemporary Art Society, it will also feature a newly-commissioned artwork by Jessica Warboys, responding to the Duddon River and the landscape of west Cumbria.

About Lakeland Arts
Lakeland Arts is a major player in the north of England’s arts, culture and heritage scene. We’ve built a great reputation for our historic buildings, museums, gallery collections and rolling arts programmes.
We represent the lives of the people of Cumbria past and present. They inform and steer our stimulating, award-winning attractions: Abbot Hall; Blackwell - the Arts & Crafts house; Lakeland Museum and Windermere Jetty Museum. We connect with our visitors on land and on water.
