Event Summary

Exploring mark-making and collage as tools for creative evaluation.

Event Description

What happens when we start drawing as reflection?

Drawing and collaging has become an important part of our rituals as artists working with very young children, their carers, and each other. This is an ongoing experiment in finding meaningful, nurturing ways to document, reflect and evaluate.

When we started, we didn't fully know what we were doing or why - it was intuitive and we allowed its meaning and significance to unfold naturally to us.

We would like to share with you where we are at with it now, what these acts of drawing and collaging have done to our thinking, our memories, our wellbeing.

What we will explore together:

- Some of the creative ways we have documented significant moments
- How this process supports our reflective practice
- How we have used these reflections to evaluate our work

Who this session is for?

Anyone working within early childhood, community arts, creative health, education, culture, or third sector who is looking for more intuitive, creative ways to document and evaluate their practice.
