Event Summary
Event Description
This training day is designed for anyone that uses their voice as part of their work - this is not limited to singers, it could mean speaking in front of a class, leading workshops, or 1-1 teaching.
Voice care is essential for a sustainable career, especially when your day consists of back to back sessions, with little rest time.
In this training day, Voice Care Specialist Gillian Ramm brings her clinically-informed training in functional voice, to explore practical techniques developed to prevent vocal fatigue.
Whether a singer, workshop leader or just someone who uses their voice a lot, this session will equip you with a toolkit of techniques to help you use your voice sustainably.
What to expect:
- A range of exercises to train vocal muscles
- Advice on correct hydration techniques to support vocal health
- Pointers on how to recognise, locate and relieve vocal tension
- A toolkit of workshop techniques that help you preserve the voice
- Networking opportunities with music leaders at different stages of their careers
Who is this session for?
- Teachers, educators and practitioners leading creative learning
- Music leaders and workshop facilitators who lead group sessions or 1-1 lessons
- Singers and vocal performers
- Presenters, speakers and other professionals using voices throughout the day
