We are excited to be recruiting a Singer-Guitarist immediately to teach and perform music in our nurseries and parties

Job Description

We are excited to be looking for a dedicated singer-guitarist to teach our fun music sessions for children age 0-5 years old in our Nurseries! We provide songs and training and source and offer work for you. Currently we need musicians in London to start in April. All resources are provided by us. You will accompany us to one of our classes and see how we do it as well as having a training session.

Our sessions are 30 minutes long. Sessions are taught to different age groups at the same nursery or elsewhere from 930 up to 1130 or occasionally in the afternoons anywhere between 2-4 pm.

The starting salary is £34 per hour and £60 per hour for parties on weekends. Pay will increase as experience is gained. Please visit www.blueberryplaysongs.co.uk

We have a lot of places to fill and starting roles would be lessons on:

Tuesday mornings in Bayswater and Belgravia (2 hours)

Thursday mornings in Hyde Park (2 hours)

Fridays in Brook Green (1 hour)

You will ideally need an up to date enhanced DBS.

This job is particularly suited to creatives/musicians/entertainers/actors/tutors who work in the evenings/afternoons and are looking for extra income in the mornings.

Job Requirements

Blueberry Playsongs are looking for a new London based music teacher and entertainer. The successful candidate will have self-confidence, good classroom management skills, inspiring performance skills, a commitment to inspiring and engaging children in their early years, a clear and tuneful singing voice, an energetic and lively manner and must have the ability to play guitar at an intermediate level.

Blueberry Playsongs provides engaging and fun music lessons and parties for young children. Most classes are weekly and progressive and are held in nurseries. All our classes are linked to the EYFS national curriculum.

Our party entertainment usually takes place on weekends. We are looking for candidates with a background in live performing and music who are interested in teaching, entertaining or both. We provide our teachers with full training, lesson plans, recordings of the songs and all necessary props.

Job Responsibilities

You will be required to teach weekly music classes in nurseries in Central London and nurseries across North and South London as cover work from time to time

Our parties usually take place on the weekends and you would perform to a high standard to an early years audience

You are required to play guitar and sing energetically, playfully and tunefully to a performance level

We are looking for a dedicated and cheerful musician and performer who cares about children and has an energetic and positive manner - please only apply if you can commit to teaching regularly.
