Cover sessions are relaxed, playful, and designed to be accessible to people with a wide range of experience working with children such as artists, playworkers, teaching assistants, and early years practitioners.

As a Cover Tutor, you're not expected to deliver a fully structured specialist lesson. Instead, you'll facilitate flexible, engaging play-based activities that keep children involved and supported.

For example, if you're covering a music club, you don't need to be a trained musician - you might lead a simple sound-play game where children take turns using percussion instruments while others close their eyes and guess who created the sound. Activities like this build listening skills, attention, and awareness in a fun, low-pressure way.

The focus is on creating a positive, playful environment where children can explore, participate, and enjoy the session.

This is flexible, ad-hoc work ideal for creatives who want occasional paid sessions around other commitments.
