We're looking for a creative and collaborative digital arts provider to lead Awe & Wander, a participatory project that reconnects people with nature through digital creativity, storytelling and shared experience. This opportunity is open to individual artists, organisations, or partnerships/consortia working in digital arts, creative technology or interactive media.

Awe & Wander is part of the ReNEW Sharing Stories programme and focuses on connecting communities in East Redditch with local green spaces, including Arrow Valley Park and surrounding landscapes. Using digital tools and co creation, the project will invite people to explore, experience, and re imagine nature in ways that feel welcoming, accessible, and meaningful.

Working alongside the ReNEW Project Manager, Skills Development Coordinator, apprentices, and a Skills Cohort Group (SCG) of ten young people aged 16+, you'll co design participatory digital activity inspired by the University of Derby's Five Pathways to Nature Connectedness. Together, you'll develop creative digital content that captures stories, emotions and connections to place - from sound and image to interactive and networked experiences.

The role combines creative leadership with thoughtful facilitation. You'll support young people to develop digital and creative skills, collaborate with environmental and cultural partners, and design a major digital artwork or platform that links urban neighbourhoods with natural spaces. The project will culminate in a public launch in 2027, leaving a long term digital legacy that continues to engage communities until 2031.
