Metal are looking for a strategic and experienced producer to join their team as Head of Programmes & Partnerships (Parental Leave Cover), to lead their ambitious national and international programmes.
Metal's programmes are shaped around themes of community and connection, social justice, and climate and nature, bringing together knowledge from across Liverpool, Peterborough and Southend, and responding to national and international contexts. This role oversees that work: strengthening partnerships, leading fundraising and income generation, and supporting delivery, working closely with the Artistic Director & CEO and Executive Director. During this contract, you will lead a mixture of programme development, fundraising and delivery for programmes like: The Unlonely City, disrupting loneliness through citizen-led artistic intervention; a new mass participation programme with partners across the UK; Artists for Future Policy commissions; and Working Artist Weeks, a radical artist residency and work experience programme exploring the relationship between home, school, and art spaces for global majority students. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on delivery, maintaining momentum across programmes while working collaboratively with artists, partners and teams across multiple locations. You will be comfortable working independently and in a matrix structure where teams at Metal's sites deliver the national programme. This is a part-time parental leave cover role (3 days per week, 9am - 5.30pm) and Metal are recruiting nationally. Metal are running a guaranteed interview scheme for this role as part of their commitment to addressing the imbalance of underrepresented communities within the cultural sector and within their organisation. If you would like to apply for this role as a secondment or with another way of working in mind, please let Metal know. Metal are interested in how Parental Leave covers and other fixed term contracts can be opportunities to share skills, experience and knowledge across organisations. You can also apply for this role in a way that meets your access requirements.
