Job Description

Debutots offers a blend of interactive storytelling and dramatic play for 6 months to 11 years working with schools, nurseries and local venues and we are looking for someone to join our team and deliver our fabulous classes, events, birthday parties and after school clubs.

We are advertising for a post due to expansion of our business. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years' experience working as a drama practitioner or similar, a genuine interest in and experience of working with babies and young children (up to the age of 11 years old), a love of stories, good storytelling skills and excellent English. This position would suit someone who is already working freelance and has capacity for further work, or a suitable individual who has an evening job/commitment and is looking to develop their delivery hours during the day. Resting actors who cannot commit need not apply.

In the first instance we are looking for after school club cover for 2 afternoons a week in the Lincoln area, so applicants must be available between 3pm and 5pm Mon to Thurs. But this is with the intention of developing further classes in the week and has the potential for the right candidate to generate their own sessions. We are also looking for a minimum commitment to Jul 2027.

The position will require for candidates to be living in, or very near to, Lincoln and/or Retford as these will be the main areas of delivery. We also require candidates to be registered as self employed, have a full UK driving licence and their own transport and an enhanced DBS

Successful applicants will receive competitive rates of pay starting rate of £20 per session(which has potential to increase depending on amount of sessions generated), Debutots story training, session plans and ongoing support and advice in delivery and will be provided with any equipment required.

To apply please send your CV and a covering letter by 13th March, to:[email protected]
