Job Description
Punchdrunk Enrichment seeks a Chair to lead and inspire our Board of seven trustees. Comprised of experts in the fields of education, marketing, fundraising and theatre, the Chair will galvanise and provide strategic direction to the board to best support the organisation. They will also work with and guide the Co-CEOs to ensure that the organisation delivers its charitable objectives, vision and mission.
Job Requirements
Track record of strong leadership of a committed and active board and/or successful organisation Strategic leadership experience ideally within a growth context Real interest in the cultural sector, arts and theatre Genuine commitment to diversity, equality, inclusion and sustainability in line with the charity's ethos and values. Strong profile and reputation, with skills and experience in areas which will benefit Punchdrunk Enrichment Excellent communication skills across a range of stakeholders, partners and audiences Sufficient time to devote to the role The willingness to act as an ambassador and advocate for PDE in its search for funding, partnership growth and income generation
Job Responsibilities
Lead the Board in ensuring that PDE's vision and values are achieved and upheld Ensure the charity's finances are accounted for, audited and publicly available Provide support and challenge to the Joint CEOs, maintaining close communication, developing a strong relationship and monitoring their performance Prepare (alongside the Executive Team) and chair Board meetings openly and impartially, ensuring a collaborative approach Support peer assessment of Trustees to ensure the Board is effectively fulfilling its role, reviewing the skills required and recruiting Trustees when necessary Develop, foster and maintain strong relationships with new and existing stakeholders and funders, including Arts Council England as core funders Ensure the safeguarding of children and adults experiencing PDE's work Attend one of the charity's subcommittees (this will involve a further 4 meetings a year) Be an active advocate for and represent Punchdrunk Enrichment
