Job Summary
Assistant Curator of Arms & Armour based at Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds.
Job Description
This job is 2 year fixed term contract and your main duties will be adding to the publicly available stock of knowledge of the European Edged Weapons, European Armour and Asian & African collections through cataloguing, and promoting the subject through answering enquiries. You will also assist Curators and Keepers in the day-to-day management of the collections, provide collections access and assist with exhibitions and research. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working at museums and be passionate and knowledgeable about arms and armour. They will be an excellent team player who is accountable, open, thorough, adaptable and who possess initiative. This post will be based at Royal Armouries Leeds, but some travel may be necessary.
