Job Summary

Crossroads Live are seeking a Sound No.2 for the UK and Ireland touring production of Waitress. Touring from March 2026 to January 2027.

Job Description

To assist the No 1 Sound Operator as directed with regard to the operation and maintenance of all sound equipment. Duties and Responsibilities 1. The No 2 Sound Operator will assist the No 1 Sound Operator in operating the sound equipment for each performance as instructed by the Sound Designer, and where a live orchestra is in use, in consultation with the Musical Supervisor/Musical Director. 2. To attend all get-in's, fit-up's and get-out's as required. 3. To attend and provide back-up cover for operating sound equipment during the technical and dress rehearsals or at other times as required. 4. To ensure that radio mics are in working order for each performance and to fit and change mic packs as required. 5. To assist the No 1 Sound Operator in preparing cue sheets. 6. To assist the No 1 Sound Operator in ensuring all equipment is unpacked and prepared at each venue of the tour. 7. To assist the No 1 Sound Operator in coordinating the get-out of sound equipment at each venue, and in preparing equipment ready for loading at the end of the run. 8. To assist the No 1 Sound Operator in ensuring that all equipment is maintained and in safe working order. 9. To assist the No 1 Sound Operator in running equipment checks prior to each performance. 10. Attend production meetings, rehearsals, calls and performances as required. 11. Adhere to the Health and Safety guidelines of the Company. 12. Any other duties as may be reasonably required in the course of your duties or as instructed by the Producers from time to time.
