Job Description

We're looking for someone who wants to co-lead, not just contribute. Crazy Peach supports misfit, critical, thought-driven artists through publishing, exhibitions, and community programs. This isn't a volunteer gig where you help out when convenient. This is a partner-level, governance role for someone who wants real influence on what we stand for, how we grow, and where we go next. What This Role Actually Is Partner + Trustee = Two Jobs in One Partner: You'll co-design exhibitions, digital residencies, publishing strategy, and fundraising with our London founder and Singapore trustee. Think of it as being in the room where decisions get made and having a real vote on what those decisions are. Trustee: You'll share legal governance duties; budget sign-off, risk oversight, compliance responsibilities relevant to UK charity governance. Working Days: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday Hours: Minimum 20+hours/week Location: Hybrid (London-based, real-life collaboration when needed) Timezone: London time (UK) Compensation: This role is primarily unpaid by design, reflecting its partner-governance structure. However, monthly compensation may be available, subject to role scope and ongoing discussions. Why Join Us Real Influence: You're not advising from the sidelines. You're co-leading and shaping direction. Purpose-Driven Mission: Support critical thinking, openness, and tech-driven creativity in contemporary art. Build something that matters, not just something that looks good. Intimate Team Culture: Work closely with a small, high-energy team that treats each other like family. International Network: Access to artists, curators, and funders across our global community. Expenses Covered: Reasonable expenses covered (standard trustee practice). We're not rich, but we won't make you pay to do unpaid work. Crazy Peach Art Foundation is committed to diversity and inclusion. We encourage applications from people of all backgrounds.

Job Requirements

You're an original thinker who challenges things with evidence, not just hot takes and vibes. You can explain complicated ideas at a dinner without sounding like you're reciting a Wikipedia page. You have a deep passion for art and a habit of asking "why" before "how". You can interview artists in ways that showcase real thinking, not rehearsed PR answers; you know how to ask the right follow-up question. You're culturally sensitive and emotionally intelligent when working with people; you can read a room and adjust. You ship on time, speak up early when you're stuck, and keep your work organized. Bonus Points: You have curatorial instincts or real exhibition experience. You've done journalism, long-form writing, or editorial work. You have experience in finance, operations, tech, community-building, and arts management. You live in the UK most of the year (citizenship not required).

Job Responsibilities

Concept & Strategy Leadership Set programme direction and curatorial standards: what we show, how we show it, and why it matters. Shape editorial positioning and what we say (and don't say) publicly. Challenge assumptions while protecting public benefit. Be the voice that asks "should we?" not just "can we?" Governance & Risk Make sure we stay true to mission while staying financially and legally sound. Ask the hard questions before we make big decisions - the ones that saves us from ourselves. Ecosystem Credibility Build and maintain relationships with artists, writers, curators, venues, and funders. Represent the platform well in the art world. Step in for important artist conversations where depth matters. Be the senior voice in public programmes when needed. Support salons, panels, and cocktail gatherings.
