Job Description

The Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport is seeking to appoint three new Board Members to The National Lottery Community Fund, each bringing a distinct and crucial area of expertise in the following areas: - Community Power, Agency, and Control - Digital and Emerging Technologies - Brand, Reputation, and Influence The Board of the National Lottery Community Fund (TNLCF) is responsible for providing strategic leadership, ensuring effective governance, and overseeing the use of public funds in line with ministerial directions. Number of vacancies: 3 Time commitment: 36 day(s) per annum Remuneration: £7,848 per annum Length of term: 4 years Application deadline: 11:59pm on 1 April 2026

Job Requirements

All candidates must be able to demonstrate the following: - Demonstrate a strong commitment to The National Lottery Community Fund's mission and purpose, acting as a committed advocate for the organisation. - Experience influencing policy or systems change from a community perspective. - A demonstrable commitment to and experience in equity and equitable practices. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Candidate must also be able to demonstrate one or more of the following: -Understanding and experience at a senior level of community/grassroots organisations - Understanding and experience at a senior level in communications, storytelling, public relations, marketing, or media relations. Understanding and experience in leading the development or driving adoption of digital and emerging technologies within community contexts.
