Job Description
We are seeking a confident, personable Museum Assistant to support front-of-house and evening events. The role centres on delivering clear, engaging introductions to exhibitions. You will help ensure visitors feel welcomed, informed and comfortable in the space.
Job Requirements
BA degree in Arts or Humanities (essential), Passion for art and culture (essential), Excellent communication skills with confident storytelling ability, Personable, socially perceptive, and comfortable engaging diverse audiences, Experience using Google Drive and Mac software (desirable, not essential), Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud (nice to have), Reliable, professional, and proactive
Job Responsibilities
Welcome visitors and provide engaging, accessible introductions to exhibitions, Communicate key themes and context with clarity and confidence, Support and help facilitate evening events (life drawing, talks), Assist with general front-of-house operations and ad hoc tasks, Maintain a professional, warm, and welcoming gallery environment
