Come and join and vibrant and dynamic team at Mall Galleries as Head of Venue Hire and Visitor Experience. A brilliant role selling our wonderful gallery space, delivering an exciting events programme and leading our Visitor Experience team.
Job Description
The Federation of British Artists (FBA) is the national centre for figurative art based at Mall Galleries in Central London. In addition to the FBA exhibitions, the gallery is available for and hire and, through our commercial hires, we host a varied and dynamic programme of events. See our website for more information. The Head of Venue Hire and Visitor Experience will lead the sale of the venue to external clients as well as deliver our events programme, assisted by an Events and Venue Hire Co-ordinator. You will also lead the Visitor Experience and Duty Management team. The post holder will be responsible for identifying and securing venue hire client and then acting as account manager and delivering those events. You will also nurture and cultivate new clients. You will also manage the Visitor Experience (Front of House) team. Other key elements of the role: - Work with the marketing team to deliver and plan digital marketing initiatives and proactive sales activities. - Work closely and collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure best use of the overall venue diary, maximising income but also allowing for a full programme of - Manage the Events and Venue Hire Co-ordinator. - Ensure all Health and Safety policies and Gallery regulations are complied with by external clients. - Work closely with the Art Services Manager and Technicians to ensure smooth operations during install, de-rig periods and handover between events. - Champion best practice in customer service, ensuring the visitor - Mange the relationships between third party and Gallery suppliers.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience in event sales and delivery in a similar environment. - Ideally experience of leading front of house teams. - Experience of line management. - An appreciation for the visual arts.
