Job Summary
Job Description
We're looking for a creative and collaborative visual arts provider to lead Gateway to Nature, a participatory project exploring people's connections to landscape, nature and place across Bromsgrove District. This opportunity is open to individual artists, organisations, or partnerships/consortia with experience in socially engaged or public facing visual arts.
Gateway to Nature is part of the ReNEW Sharing Stories programme and invites communities to shape the future identity of the proposed 8 Hills Regional Park. Through workshops, co creation and public art, the project will explore how people experience local green spaces - emotionally, culturally and creatively - and translate those stories into a shared visual identity and a permanent or semi permanent public artwork in Rubery, Worcestershire.
Working alongside the ReNEW Project Manager, Skills Development Coordinator, apprentices and a Skills Cohort Group (SCG) of ten young people aged 16+, you'll design and deliver inclusive visual arts activity with local communities. You'll support young people to build creative confidence, develop skills, and play an active role as co producers - from gathering stories to shaping ideas and designs.
The role blends artistic leadership with thoughtful facilitation. You'll work closely with partners including the National Trust and local cultural organisations, embed environmentally responsible practice, and help create a legacy that strengthens people's connection to nature, place and each other.
If you're excited by co creation, public art, environmental storytelling and working creatively with communities, this is an opportunity to make something meaningful together.
