Job Summary
Lead the philanthropy and partnerships team at Norwich Theatre as Head of Development & Fundraising, securing the income that keeps great art at Norwich’s heart.
Job Description
As Head of Development & Fundraising, you'll take the lead on Norwich Theatre's most significant income streams - corporate partnerships, major gifts, legacy giving and corporate membership. You will shape strategy and build the relationships that underpin our long-term sustainability. This is a high-impact, senior role with genuine scope to make your mark. Working closely with the Creative Programmes Director and senior leadership, you'll be both a strategic thinker and a skilled relationship-builder, equally comfortable in the boardroom and behind a compelling proposal.
Job Requirements
We're looking for a confident, relationship-led fundraiser who combines strategic vision with the drive to deliver. You'll be at home cultivating senior-level relationships, negotiating complex agreements and making the case for transformational philanthropic support, all with warmth, professionalism and purpose.
Job Responsibilities
You'll bring: - A proven track record of cultivating and stewarding high-value supporters, corporate partners or major donors. - Experience generating significant income through fundraising, business development or partnership work. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to craft compelling proposals and cases for support. - Strong organisational skills and the confidence to manage multiple pipelines, deadlines and relationships simultaneously. - Financial acumen, including budget management and CRM-based reporting (experience with Spektrix is a bonus). - Experience of managing people and/or fundraising teams confidently and calmly under pressure to achieve or exceed income goals. Experience in the charitable or cultural sector is desirable, but transferable skills from commercial environments are equally welcome.
