Job Description
Having had an excellent Treasurer for sixteen years, we are now looking for someone to take over the reins. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in music or arts administration and a strong accounting background. The Treasurer is an Officer of the Lute Society and a key member of the Lute Society Committee but may choose to be a Trustee or remain independent. The role is unpaid & the time required to fulfil it would typically average out at less than one day a week. The Treasurer's principal accountabilities are to: Ensure accounting records are true and fair and update the ledger monthly. Approve payments (remit shared with President and Chair) Provide relevant and timely information to support decision making, both at secretary and committee level, and propose periodic reviews of subscriptions and other prices and the Secretary's remuneration. Prepare year end accounts, arrange review by an independent examiner, and file Trustee-approved accounts with the Charity Commission. Please apply with supporting CV to [email protected]
