Job Description
The Commercial Events & Operations Coordinator reports into the Senior Commercial Manager and will support the delivery of commercial activity across the organisation, including catering and venue hire contracts, film location operations, retail, event partners, regular hirers, and in house events. You will also support the development of new commercial opportunities for the Learning Hub. You will be coordinating all commercial activity across the organisation working closely with our partners, with a focus on partner events, filming, retail, regular hirers, venue hire & catering. You will have good relationship management experience and be used to working with lots of partners. There will also be regular evening and weekend working. You are responsible for ensuring smooth delivery of commercial operations in close collaboration and strong communication with the gardens, visitor experience and development teams. You will also contribute to developing new opportunities, including proactive outreach for the Learning Hub's evening programme.
Job Requirements
Essential Experience in operations, events, retail, or commercial coordination. Event logistics and project administration experience Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Confident communicator with contractors, hirers and retail suppliers. Comfortable with CRM/booking systems and basic reporting. Proactive approach to identifying opportunities and solving problems. A good multi-tasker who can hit the ground running in a demanding & fast paced environment. Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and administrative skill Proficient in Microsoft applications and SharePoint Clear concise written and verbal communication skills
Job Responsibilities
Relationship management and contractor coordination for small event partners, filming and regular hirers. Event logistics and on-the-day supervision for in-house and partner events. Retail operations support, including stock, suppliers and merchandising standards. Proactive outreach to potential hirers for the Learning Hub evening programme. Commercial administration, including CRM updates, booking records and reporting. Monitoring commercial performance, preparing basic reports and supporting process improvements.
