Make music. Make community. Make a difference. As our Programme Coordinator, you’ll help make our musical activities run smoothly — from weekly groups to workshops and public performances. You’ll be the person who keeps things organised, communicates clearly, and ensures participants feel supported.
Job Description
Our community ensembles, workshops and performances support wellbeing, connection and joy - and we're proud to create spaces where everyone feels they belong. We're a small, friendly team with big ambitions, and we're looking for someone who shares our belief that music can change lives. About the role You won't be doing this alone. You'll work closely with our Artistic Director and Music Director, collaborate with a committed group of freelance assistants/volunteers, and contribute to a warm, creative working culture where your ideas are genuinely valued. This is a role for someone who enjoys variety, cares about people, and takes pride in making things work well behind the scenes. What you'll do: Programme coordination Coordinate the planning, scheduling and logistics for music groups, workshops and events. Be a friendly first point of contact for participants, partners and public enquiries. People and volunteer support Coordinate Freelance Session Assistants and volunteers Support recruitment of interns and freelance specialists (e.g. sound technicians). Assist with issuing contracts and keeping staff records Operations and administration Maintain programme records, including attendance, safeguarding logs and project documentation. Support basic finance administration, such as processing invoices and tracking budgets. Contribute to Health & Safety and Data Protection processes, including risk assessments. Monitoring and evaluation Collect participant feedback and programme data. Contribute to reports for funders and stakeholders. Salary: £24,877 actual per annum (£31,096 FTE). Hours - we're open to discussing adjusted hours and/or freelance contracts for the right candidate. Please do apply if you couldn't do 30 hours a week, but would still be interested in the role. Contract: Fixed-term until July 2027
Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities Leadership: Play a key leadership role within the team with a high level of autonomy. Management: Take responsibility for Freelance Session Assistants and Volunteers, and contribute to managing the Marketing and Communications Officer. Operations: Ensure the smooth delivery of all musical programmes and workshops.
