Working closely with the CEO and senior colleagues, the role promotes a strong financial culture and cross-team collaboration to effectively plan for Dance Base's long-term resilience in a challenging business environment.

Hours: 21 hours per week
Salary: £40,000 Pro Rata

The Finance Manager will be responsible for:
Financial strategy, planning and analysis
Management reporting and governance
Fund accounting and funder reporting
Financial controls, policies and compliance
Cash management
Systems, processes and improvements

Essential criteria:

Qualifications and knowledge
Strong understanding of charity finance including restricted/unrestricted funds.
Knowledge of charity and public fund reporting requirements.
Understanding of financial controls, risk management and compliance.
Experience
Previously held a finance management role (or is ready to take on a management position), ideally in a charity or not-for-profit.
Preparing management accounts, budgets and forecasts.
With the CEO and Finance Committee, presenting to senior leaders or Boards.
Preparation of documentation for, and overseeing year-end audit with external auditors.

Skills and competencies
Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
Good working knowledge of Xero accounting software.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines independently.
