Job Summary

The Fundraiser will provide leadership and expertise in their field, supporting the company by providing a strong foundation from which we can succeed and pioneer.

Job Description

We are looking to appoint a person who is flexible and has a
strong sense of initiative and will thrive in the frequently changing landscape of a small multi-faceted arts company. You will have a proven track record in Fundraising, especially bid writing, donor schemes and events.

You will bring Fundraising expertise and apply it to our diverse workforce, and work alongside our team to create meaningful and robust funding bids and promotion for our creative work and for Mandala Theatre Company as a whole.

The company seek an individual who has experience of a mixed funding environment (grants, foundations, corporates, friends and donor schemes). You will have the communication skills to be an effective advocate for Mandala and the people and communities we work with. You will embrace our ethos and diversity and equality in
all the work you do.

We see the Fundraiser's role as pivotal in our evolution with the fixed-term, part-time contract offered purely based on current funding. We are committed to growing both this role and the team as a whole.

We particularly welcome applicants from groups that are currently under-represented in the arts sector and we are looking for a Fundraiser who is passionate about a change agenda and the inclusion of Global Majority staff, artists, participants, and communities in this process.

Job Requirements

- Proven experience in fundraising, particularly bid writing and grant applications.

- Demonstrable experience working within a mixed funding environment, including grants, trusts and foundations, corporate sponsorship, donor programmes, and fundraising events.

- Strong ability to research, develop, and write compelling funding bids and proposals.

- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to advocate for the organisation and its mission.

- Experience developing or supporting donor schemes, fundraising campaigns, or fundraising events.

- Ability to work collaboratively within a small team while also demonstrating initiative and working independently.

- Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple funding opportunities and deadlines.

- Ability to adapt to the changing needs of a small, multi-faceted arts organisation.

- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
