Job Summary
Job Description
A key member of the frontline professional team, the Assistant Manager (Artists) will assist the General Manager in overseeing artist liaison, transport and accommodation coordination and rehearsal logistics. The role demands excellent organisation, attention to detail and the ability to respond quickly and calmly to changing circumstances.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Collating artist accommodation information with volunteer hosts
- Managing travel schedules and arrival logistics
- Updating and communicating schedules
- Overseeing green room and hospitality provision
- Acting as a go to point for visiting artists
- Assistance with Box Office cover
- Sharing Duty Manager responsibility across allocated events
Mid-July - mid-August: approx. two days per week (home-based)
17-21 August: Full-time (home-based)
24-31 August: Full coverage, including the Festival itself (extended days)
Fixed contract fee of £4,100

About Southwell Music Festival
Southwell Music Festival takes place each August Bank Holiday weekend and attracts audiences totalling over 3,500 people. The Festival was founded by Artistic Director Marcus Farnsworth in 2014 and achieves high critical acclaim for its performances. The programme is a mix of choral, orchestral and chamber music, plus jazz and folk, all performed by renowned professional soloists, singers and musicians.
