Job Summary
Job Description
-Candidates should have a track record of fundraising with similar organisations, ideally within the arts sector.
-The successful candidate will lead on the fundraising strategy for the company building on a very successful legacy of securing public funding for community-led arts projects.
-They will also lead on the development of fundraising initiatives that diversify from our current strategy and explore new streams such as crowdfunds, fundraising events, building a donor base and online fundraising campaigns.
-The position is a fixed term for 2 years following a successful probation period.
-It will be 2-3 days a week (standard 9-5, with some occasional flexibility to ensure we meet deadlines) and this will be discussed with successful applicant.
-Salary of 27-30k pro rata dependent upon experience.
Job Requirements
Experience
-Writing successful funding bids of various scales
-Building a donor base/maintaining relationships with donors
-Has previously delivered successful fundraising events
-Has a track record of fundraising with similar organisations, ideally within the arts sector.
Personal skills - essential:
-Excellent relationship building skills
-Friendly and approachable
-Ability to work on own initiative
-Excellent communication skills
-Excellent writing skills
Personal skills - desirable:
-Has written successful Arts Council or other large scale arts fund bids
Job Responsibilities
-Researching/identifying funding opportunities and organising within databases
-Writing funding bids for our all of our ongoing/upcoming projects and core funding where possible
-Working with Artistic Director to develop new fundraising strategies
-Implement, oversee and deliver (with support) new strategies such as online campaigns, crowdfunds, fundraising events and building a donor base
-Work with our marketing officer to ensure opportunities, events or other, reach audiences with appropriate messaging
