Job Summary

We are looking for  a Visitor Engagement & Operations Manager to join the National Theatre's VE&O team. 

Job Description

The Visitor Experience & Operations Managers are responsible for providing a pro-active, visible presence and strong leadership within all Front of House (FOH) areas of the building and the external public realm, including Stage Door BOH (Back of House). Regularly acting as Duty Manager for the entire site, you will act as the main point of contact on a daily basis for all health and safety, visitor experience, look and feel and employee engagement issues. You will drive an excellent visitor experience for all guests throughout the day and support your team in delivering consistently high performance and achieving commercial targets.

The successful candidates will have the following:
- Strong line management experience, including managing supervisors or above, with experience of effectively motivating, leading, and managing high performing operational FOH teams
- Experience of ensuring health and safety regulations are strictly observed with effective risk management, including risk assessments
- Proven track record of managing income generation and achieving sales targets with the ability to identify fresh commercial opportunities and increase margins in established income streams
- Passion for excellence and proven ability to deliver high standards of service
- Strong administration and time management skills with the ability to juggle operational and administrative duties
