Job Description

The purpose of this role is to lead and oversee the planning and delivery of marketing campaigns across the Storyhouse programme, ensuring marketing activity drives revenue, supports audience development and aligns with the organisation's strategic priorities.

As Marketing Manager, you will translate organisational strategy into clear, effective campaign plans and oversee their delivery across theatre, cinema, festivals, community programmes and trading activity. You will be accountable for the effectiveness of marketing activity across the organisation, ensuring campaigns deliver against agreed commercial and audience objectives.

Working closely with the Marketing Director, you will lead and support a team of Marketing Officers and a Marketing Assistant, providing clear direction and ensuring campaigns are delivered effectively and consistently. You will also champion digital best practice and ensure audience insight and data inform marketing decision-making across the organisation.

This role requires strong leadership, commercial awareness and the ability to manage multiple campaigns and stakeholders simultaneously while maintaining a strategic overview of marketing activity.

Job Requirements

Experience leading a marketing team in a cultural or leisure venue
Experience managing complex, multi-channel campaigns.
Experience delivering against revenue or attendance targets.
Experience influencing senior stakeholders.
Experience working with external partners or agencies.
Strategic planning and decision-making skills.
Strong organisational leadership and team management.
Commercial awareness.
Ability to prioritise across competing demands and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Confidence operating in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong copywriting skills.
Ability to deal with a diverse range of people.

Job Responsibilities

Approve campaign plans developed by Marketing Assistants.
Monitor campaign performance and intervene where campaigns are underperforming, implementing corrective actions as required.
Ensure marketing activity supports ticket sales targets and organisational priorities.
Work closely with Programming, Development, Creative Communities and external partners to ensure marketing activity supports wider organisational objectives.
Line Management of Marketing Assistants.
Setting clear objectives, priorities and performance expectations for the team.
Supporting professional development and skills growth.
Ensuring consistent standards of campaign planning, digital marketing and content delivery.
Creating a high-performing team culture, providing clear direction, accountability and support.
Develop partnerships and collaborations to expand reach and visibility.
Support initiatives that promote Storyhouse's charitable mission and community engagement.
Support the team to deliver effective content
