Job Summary

Recruiting a General Manager to oversee operations and strategy for stage and immersive productions. To manage staff, handle escalated cast/crew issues, liaise with clients on finance, contracts and experience, and support growth through new projects and partnerships.

Job Description

The General Manager is responsible for the operational oversight and strategic planning for our stage productions, and location-based entertainment (LBE) general managed by Selladoor.

You will line manage the Associate General Manager (Live), as well as working closely with Production Coordinators and Administrators. You will be the escalation point for matters pertaining to cast and crew, particularly disciplinary, contractual, pay or performance-related matters.

You will be the senior point-of-contact for LBE client productions, regarding financial forecasting, incident investigation and response (staff management), visitor experience in relation to cast & crew, overseeing contracting, and strategic planning (including new projects).

The role will also contribute to Selladoor's commercial growth by supporting the identification and development of new projects and partnerships across theatre and location-based entertainment.

Job Requirements

Oversee all Production and location-based entertainment operations. Oversee contracting, renewals, and negotiations. Generate and monitor budgets for pre-production, annual operations, and re-cast, ensuring contractual obligations-particularly for marketing-are met. Lead company meetings, addressing policies, procedures, and feedback, and acts as the escalation point for welfare, wellbeing, disciplinary, and contractual matters. Support wider team involvement in press, launch, and gala events while maintaining a detailed understanding of project logistics. Collaborate closely on operational development and execution, maintaining regular communication on strategy, productivity, budgets, and schedules. Review budgets for financial efficiency, implements client policies and contract templates, and report on disciplinary matters to relevant client departments.

Job Responsibilities

Strategy and Administration
Support the Executive Producer in identifying and securing new General Management and LBE operational contracts and contribute to ongoing development of Selladoor's General Management offering and position within the global LBE sector.
Proactively develop and maintain relationships across the live entertainment, theatre and LBE sectors with producers, IP holders, venue operators and LBE developers, to support Selladoor's growth startegy.
Support preparations of commercial proposals, negotiation and contract structuring for prospective clients.
Review and implement strategies pertaining to recruitment, retention, training, welfare and wellbeing, and company culture.
Ensure all data protection requirements are met in accordance with policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
Be an enthusiastic advocate of Selladoor and its clients.
Represent Selladoor in industry market and international opportunities to expand commercial pipeline.
