Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and collaborative Programming and Marketing Consultant to join our team at Worthing Theatres and Museum on an interim basis. This role will provide immediate strategic support during a period of organisational transition following the departure of the CEO and Creative Director. As a result, we are seeking specialist expertise to help review and strengthen our current programming and marketing approach while longer-term leadership arrangements are considered.

Working closely with the Board, Executive Director, Director of Marketing & Sales, Head of Programming, and wider team, the consultant will lead a focused review of our programming strategy and marketing activity. In particular, we are looking for someone who can help assess how our programme can become more commercially viable while maintaining artistic ambition.

With the wider theatre and arts sector facing ongoing funding challenges, this role will not only help with immediate programming requirements, but also identify practical opportunities to improve audience reach, income potential, and the overall sustainability of our programme.

This is an urgent interim role requiring a consultant who can quickly understand the organisation, bring relevant sector experience, and provide clear strategic direction to support the Programming, Marketing and Sales teams in the months ahead.

Salary: £55,000 per annum (pro rata for contract period of 3-6 months)
