Job Summary
Job Description
To assist the Chief Sound Engineer as directed in regard to the operation and maintenance of all sound equipment, and the Stage Manager as directed in regard to the running of the show.
Job Requirements
1. The Swing Technician will assist the Chief Sound Engineer in operating the sound equipment for appropriate performances.
2. The Swing Technician will also assist the Stage Manager in the running of the show as required.
3. To attend all get-in, fit-up and get-outs as required.
4. To attend and provide back-up cover for operating sound equipment during the technical and dress rehearsals or at other times as requested by the Stage Manager.
5. To assist the Chief Sound Engineer in preparing cue sheets and effects lists and provide this information to the Stage Manager.
6. To assist the Chief Sound Engineer in ensuring all sound equipment is unpacked and prepared at each venue of the tour.
Job Responsibilities
7. To assist the Chief Sound Engineer in coordinating the get-out of sound equipment at each venue, and in preparing equipment ready for loading at the end of the run.
8. To assist the Chief Sound Engineer in ensuring that all equipment is maintained and in safe working order.
9. To assist the Chief Sound Engineer in running equipment checks prior to each performance.
10. Attend production meetings if requested and all rehearsals, calls and performances.
11. Adhere to the Health and Safety guidelines of the Company.
12. Any other duties as may be reasonably required in the course of your duties or as instructed by the Producers from time to time.
