Job Description

As Senior Development Manager, you are responsible for acquiring and managing funder relationships with corporate organisations, funders and people who align with our mission, values and aims for our local community.

You will translate Brixton House's inspiring artistic and community/civic work into compelling cases for support across corporate partnership, individual giving and trusts and foundation income streams.

With passion, creativity and realism, you will drive income across diverse portfolios of funders, nurture key relationships and contribute to Brixton House's future - a space for creativity, expression and experimentation that engages local communities and global conversations.

You will work closely across teams to ensure our fundraising strategy is aligned with our artistic, civic and community ambitions, helping us grow sustainably while staying rooted in our mission.

Job Requirements

What are we looking for?

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic and strategic fundraiser. Someone who thrives on making things happen and getting things done. You must be capable of working with people from across individual giving, philanthropy, corporate partnerships and trusts and foundations, to develop meaningful relationships with them on behalf of Brixton House.

You will be someone capable of working internally with our Commercial Director, other teams across Brixton House, Trustees and key stakeholders to engage and cultivate relationships with high-value donors & funders, build strategic partnerships and secure sustainable financial support.

Job Responsibilities

Proven experience in roles where at least one pillar of philanthropic, corporate and grant income are central to the success of the organisation.

Experience of shaping and implementing fundraising strategies that have delivered a trackable increase in actual income.

Demonstrable Track record in securing income across funding types, including personal experience in securing partnerships and developing funding relationships.

Proven experience of nurturing long and short-term funding opportunities and being the key point of contact for both.

Proven ability to develop, articulate and champion funding opportunities and gain buy-in among staff and key stakeholders, including board and committee members.

Significant experience of effective internal communications, working with and across teams to develop innovative, values-aligned fundraising propositions and projects.
