This is an exciting opportunity to join the Tate Britain Curatorial team leading on the Financial and Programme Management of our exhibitions and displays.

Job Description

This is a pivotal role in the Tate Britain Curatorial department, responsible for our programme and financial management. You will coordinate and communicate Tate Britain's artistic programme, schedules and process, and provide project management for our programme of exhibitions, displays and commissions. Supporting with decision making at all stages and working closely with the Head of Programme Management and other senior colleagues. The role additionally manages and develops Tate Britain's budgets in liaison with the Head of Programme Management, Curatorial colleagues, the Finance department and our fundraising teams. You will be an excellent communicator, with a keen eye for detail, and exceptional planning and organisational skills.

Job Requirements

Excellent administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and multi-task in order to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
Strong analytical skills and experience in writing, collating and sharing key information, ensuring the delivery of key objectives.
Relevant experience of financial planning, working within budget and to deadline.
Experience of setting up, maintaining and improving efficient project management systems.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to deal effectively and confidently at all levels, internally across departments and with external contacts.
A proactive and flexible approach with the ability to work positively as part of a team.
Capable of working efficiently in a fast-moving environment.

Job Responsibilities

With the Head of Programme Management, ensure available resources and skills to deliver Tate Britain's programme on time and to budget.
Manage, monitor and report on the income and expenditure for the department, collating and providing management information to the Senior Team and Finance.
Support the Head of Programme Management with the effective planning and delivery of the curatorial programme of exhibitions and displays at Tate Britain.
Proactively liaise with Tate-wide colleagues to gather schedule information, highlighting questions requiring resolution, and organising ad hoc schedule planning meetings.
Liaise with colleagues to collate, draft and share programme information as needed, including Core Information Documents, worklists, and displays information for the website.
Deputise for Head of Programme Management in programme discussions as required.
Line manage three Exhibitions Assistants.
