Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Sessional Support Worker to join our programme delivery team on a freelance basis.
This role is central to supporting the wellbeing and welfare of women participating in our 16-week empowerment programme. Many participants may be navigating complex personal, financial or emotional circumstances alongside their engagement.
Working closely with the Programmes Team, you will provide pastoral, relational and practical support during programme sessions. You will help create a safe, inclusive and empowering environment where participants feel able to engage, reflect and grow.
Our programmes connect participants to opportunities within the creative industries, including art, film and media. Through our Cultural Board-made up of established industry figures-we facilitate meaningful networking, mentoring and pathways into employment. Learn more: https://you-make-it.org/who-we-are/
Programme days take place on Fridays (09:30-16:00) across Central and East London and include workshops, guest speakers, debate club and small group seminars.
In addition to wellbeing support, you will contribute to the smooth delivery of sessions by assisting with logistics, room setup and group facilitation. You will lead a small weekly seminar group and occasionally co-facilitate workshops.
This freelance role (~6 hours/week) pays £165 per day. The next programme begins June 2026. Monthly clinical supervision is provided (unpaid benefit).
The post is subject to references, safeguarding certification and DBS checks.
