Job Summary
Job Description
JW3's Barmy Mitzvah is a gloriously chaotic Bar Mitzvah, a knockabout, character-packed party for the ages. Join our Bar Mitzvah boy as he navigates the most photographed day of his life… while stumbling through its most awkward transition.
Meet a cast of unforgettable characters: over-proud parents, a well-meaning rabbi, an over-excited party planner, and relatives he barely recognises but somehow still has to hug.
A 30-minute street-theatre show about overcoming fear, finding your voice, and stepping into a brand-new chapter of life. Featuring circus, clowning, live music, and plenty of audience interaction - because no Bar Mitzvah is complete without the guests getting involved.
Created by writer Nick Cassenbaum (Revenger After the Levoyah, Bubble Scmeisis and writer of JW3'S Jewish Pantomimes) and director Orit Azaz (NoFit State Circus, Imagineer Productions) in celebration of JW3's 13th birthday in 2026.

We are looking for two versatile, physical theatre performers, with experience of performing outdoors in public spaces, playing multiple characters and transforming between characters at speed while maintaining authenticity and depth. A strong comedic stage presence and charm are essential. Acrobatic, balance, juggling and/or music skills, and a familiarity with Jewish culture are highly desirable.
