Job Summary

We are looking for a Production Finance Analyst to join the BFI’s Production Finance team, in supporting the Head of Production Finance and Senior Executive, Sales & Distribution by maintaining accurate records of investments and returns on individual films.

Job Description

Prepare and distribute the agenda and minutes for the Finance Committees and retain a record of all papers and minutes.

Input approved awards on the awards database. Prepare data lists for BFI and external websites

Receive and log contractual deliverable items from productions. Chase as appropriate

Assist Head of Production Finance with development and shorts cost statements and cashflows and audited production statements

Obtain sales information from Sales Agents and ensure all film models are kept up to date with latest sales.

Monitor sales agents' expenses, update film models as appropriate

Check and record collection statements, ensure collection statements are received on time

Monitor payment of MGs, liaise with sales agent as appropriate

Chase for royalty statements, direct with distributor or via sales agents or producers, check and analyse statements received

Ensure all payments due from collection agents or distributors are received, chase as required.

Update film releases schedule

Electronic file and archive distribution statements and agreements and some general office duties

Organise meetings and diary for Production Finance team who attend Films Markets, manage Market diary and preparation of Market Book

Attend markets at the request of the Head of Production Finance and Senior Executive, Sales & Distribution

Job Requirements

Demonstrable knowledge of film sales or distribution

A proven track record of evaluating problems and making decisions

Previous experience of working with databases

Good attention to detail

Demonstrable knowledge of worldwide distribution companies, sales agents and markets

Strong administration and numeracy skills

Experience of taking minutes at meetings

Practicable application of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
