Job Summary

KitMapper seeks a Head of Production to lead end-to-end delivery of exhibitions, installations, and live events. A senior role blending hands-on technical knowledge with empathetic team leadership, based in London. £40,000 p.a. Applications close at 5pm on Sunday 26th of April.

Job Description

KitMapper is a London-based creative production company delivering exhibitions, immersive installations, touring shows, and live events. We are a small, ambitious team who care deeply about the work we make and the people we work with.

We are looking for a Head of Production to join us in a senior leadership role at the heart of our operations. This is a position for someone equally at home in a spreadsheet and on a site visit: someone who can hold a project plan and a crew briefing with equal confidence.

You will lead production end-to-end, from initial brief through planning, resourcing, and on-site delivery. You will line manage a team of two Production Supervisors and one Technical Specialist, running regular one-to-ones and actively supporting their development. Culture matters enormously to us, and this role will set the tone for how the production team works, communicates, and shows up for each other and our clients.

Day to day, you will manage multiple concurrent projects, own client relationships, oversee budgets, allocate resources, and ensure our health and safety standards are met consistently. You will work closely with the Director and Deputy Director to shape our working practices as we grow.

We are looking for someone with 4+ years of experience in production, technical, or project management within the arts, live events, creative technology, or immersive experience sectors. You will have a proven track record of managing teams with a leadership style that is both supportive and accountable, strong communication skills, and solid financial literacy.

Familiarity with tools such as Float, Google Workspace, and Trello is desirable, as is an existing network in London's creative production industry.

KitMapper is a London Living Wage employer. This role is offered at £40,000 p.a., with an annual performance bonus, 24 days holiday, flexible working where possible, and access to our workspaces at Somerset House and Forest Hill.
