Job Summary
Job Description
the Design Museum is inviting tenders from appropriately qualified, experienced and resourced consultant/s able to develop an Activity Plan as part of a major Heritage Fund supported project.
This project will see the upper gallery space reshaped to become an enhanced home for our permanent collection, helping the museum to achieve significant change and impact in regard to audiences, communities, diversity and access, and environmental and financial sustainability.
Job Requirements
The appointed consultant/s will be required to work closely with the Design Museum's internal and project teams to collate and deliver strategic research and produce an Activity Plan that adheres to Heritage Fund guidelines and which is firmly embedded into the working practices and strategic plans of the museum.
Coinciding with this work, the consultant/s will also develop an Evaluation Framework and toolkits so that the impact of the project and gallery can be assessed against Heritage Fund and Design Museum objectives for heritage; inclusion, access and participation; and organisational sustainability.

As part of that submission, the consultant will be asked to pull together a methodology for delivery of the brief, including estimated number of days.
The contract value is £28 - 30k, excluding VAT but inclusive of all expenses.
The deadline for submission of delivery phase application is May 2027, so we estimate an average requirement of 1 day per week until that date.
