South Tyneside Council has spent over 30 years bringing unforgettable events to the region, from huge parades to intimate seaside performances and this summer, we're ready to make the magic happen all over again. Our annual Summer Festival attracts more than 120,000 spectators, and this year will be based on the theme of: Wild & Wonderful: Colours of Our Community:

What We're Looking For:
Emerging street theatre companies.
Established street theatre, producing NEW work.
Solo artists
Static or interactive installations
Work that thrives in outdoor, promenade style environments
Creative ideas that can bring joy, surprise, movement or curiosity
Performances that can adapt to spaces
New or developing work encouraged, this is a platform to grow your craft/try something new!

Commission Fees
We are commissioning a minimum of four works, each with a budget of:
£1,000 - £2,500 per commission
Applicants must indicate their proposed fee and budget in their submission.

If selected, your fee must cover:
All artist fees
Materials & production costs
Travel & accommodation
Installation & pack down
Any technical requirements (PA, lighting, etc.)
Insurance
Required paperwork for supplier registration
(You must be able to work as a sole trader and be set up as a supplier with South Tyneside Council.)
