Job Summary
Job Description
Do you believe in the power of the arts to build community and transform lives? At Pimlico Musical Foundation, we work with a diverse community, providing opportunities for children and adults, and free musical education to local children, many of whom face considerable challenges. We bring people together, support young talent, and strengthen community engagement with the arts through programmes delivered in partnership with local schools and organisations including Westminster School, Oxford University, Opera Holland Park, the Rodolfus Foundation, and Future Academies. We are seeking a warm and driven fundraiser to build on our work.
Our Individual Giving & Grants Manager will be leaving later this year. During her tenure, she diversified PMF's income streams and established new processes. We are supported by individual donors, trusts and foundations, alongside a small number of corporate supporters. We are seeking a fundraiser to build on this, developing existing income streams and growing new ones. The role combines strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, supported by an engaged board.
This role would suit someone with some fundraising experience who is looking to develop further. PMF works with a consultant providing ad hoc strategic advice, mentoring, and additional expertise, alongside day-to-day line management from the Chief Executive.
A thorough handover is planned with the current fundraiser, who has built strong relationships with supporters. The post holder will maintain these relationships while building the prospect pipeline to meet targets for 2026/27 and beyond.
PMF offers a supportive working environment within a small, committed team. We are seeking a fundraiser with experience in relationship management and donor stewardship, able to balance strategic and administrative work. Above all, we are looking for someone motivated to make a difference and improve access to the arts for all.
Job Requirements
Experience identifying and developing funding prospects, with a strong track record in trusts and foundations. Experience working with at least one additional income stream, particularly individual giving or Friends schemes. Experience within the charity sector and using CRM/database systems.
Desirable: experience in arts, cultural or education organisations; working with senior stakeholders or volunteers; developing tailored donor relationships; reporting to trustees.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships. Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities. Proactive and keen to develop new income streams. Confident working independently and collaboratively. Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Desirable: analytical skills, public speaking confidence, and experience setting KPIs and forecasting.
Job Responsibilities
Identify and research trusts, foundations, and funding opportunities aligned with PMF's mission. Develop individual giving and engagement plans for new and existing supporters. Work with colleagues to create a strong case for support and high-quality applications.
Maintain the fundraising database, tracking activity, deadlines, and outcomes. Prepare reports demonstrating impact. Manage donor communications across website, social media, and newsletters. Plan and deliver donor events and visits.
Build and maintain relationships with donors and stakeholders. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g. GDPR, VAT). Monitor funding trends and support campaign delivery (e.g. Big Give). Provide clear reporting and income forecasting for senior management and trustees.
