SSCo is seeking an exceptional individual who combines vision & imagination with organisational skills & an attention to detail to join a small team. The Programme Manager will create, develop, & manage a range of strategic dance & music projects working closely with the Artistic Director's vision & company's business plan including a programme of live indoor & outdoor touring shows, learning &participation, & outreach work. We're particularly interested in you generating new possibilities & partnerships within & beyond the arts sector including corporate, health and well-being. The individual must have 4 years programme management experience as well as a confident personality & passion for the arts. Excellent communication, organisational, interpersonal skills and a flare for writing are essential. The individual must have experience of the arts sector & experience of fundraising is desirable. They must be able to work flexible hours and sometimes weekends / evenings subject to the nature of the projects.
Job Requirements
ESSENTIAL Criteria
Minimum 4 years experience of management for a professional arts organisation/s with a proven track record as an effective programme manager
Solid understanding of the key issues facing the arts in the UK, including knowledge of the current funding system and an understanding of dance in a national & international context
Computer literacy: Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, etc
Experience in detailed planning and implementing business plans
Experience of managing dance and music or similar projects
Experience of supporting & implementing marketing campaigns
Excellent communication skills both oral & written
Ability to work quickly & have an eye for detail
A highly skilled negotiator and capable of thinking and working strategically & 'outside the box'
A motivated self-starter capable of working in a team and individually.
Excellent time management, set & meet deadlines & personal target setting skills
Ability to multi-task under pressure
Job Responsibilities
The Programme Manager will be instrumental towards the realisation of the Artistic Director's ambitious vision.
Key Areas of responsibilities include:
Develop & Manage Artistic Programme and Learning & Participatory Programme within schools and communiuty settings in collaboration with the Directors and Producer
Support the touring strategy and logistics
Manage and oversee implementation of Policy and Procedures
Manage and maintain stable, cohesive & effective team
Support finiancial strategies including fundraising
Support visibity of the company through comms and networking
Oversee day to day office management and administration
